Judith, current president of the Nina Haven Charitable Foundation, received a bachelor's degree from Florida State University and a master's degree from Barry University, both in social work. She has held clinical and administrative positions in child abuse, mental health and substance abuse for more than 20 years.

She is a current member of the Treasure Coast Advisory Committee of the Children’s Home Society and the Martin County Health Coordinating Council. She is a past president of Hibiscus Children’s Center.

Judith and her husband, Thomas, have two adult children, Thomas and Jill.

Charles is an occupational specialist and physical education teacher with the Martin County School District, where he has served 36 continuous years. Charles received a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Florida Agriculture and Mechanical University in 1972 and a master’s degree in Administration and Supervision from Nova Southeastern University in 1980. Charles is also a Nina Haven scholarship recipient.

In addition to serving on the board of the Nina Haven Charitable Foundation, Charles is the president of Life Builders, a member of the International Board-Life Builders Men’s Fellowship and a former Boys and Girls Club mentor.

He has twice been named Coach of the Year and received the NAACP Cephas Gipson Award in 2000.

Charles and his wife of 28 years, Xenobia Poitier-Anderson, have three adult children, Kherri, Jessica and Charles II.

Larry is a partner in the Crary-Buchanan Law firm, where he has specialized in real estate, corporation and business law for 30 years. He joined the firm after receiving his law degree from the University of Florida.

In addition to serving on the board of the Nina Haven Charitable Foundation, Larry is a deacon at St. Joseph Catholic Church and a team leader for the church’s Carpenter Kitchen. He provides voluntary council to Martin County Habitat for Humanity, serves on the board of the St. Lucie River Initiative, Inc., and is the vice president of the Treasure Coast Astronomical Society.

Larry and his wife of 33 years, Judi, have two adult children, Amy and Evans.

Rebecca Freeman is the former Vice President and General Manager of Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers. She is a 27 year veteran of the newspaper business with prior responsibilities as Business Manager and Human Resource Director.

 

In addition to serving on the Nina Haven Charitable Foundation, she is a past chairman of the Stuart-Martin County Chamber of Commerce, a past president of the Martin County Human Resource Management Association, co-chair of Martin County Youth LEADERship’s Career Shadow day, and a Martin County LEADERship graduate.

 

Rebecca retired and now resides with her husband, Bob, in Statesboro, GA. They have two adult children, Jennifer and Andrew.

Theresa Gallant is the Chief Financial Officer of Stuart Jet Center at Witham Field. She earned a degree in Accounting Information Systems from the University of West Florida before working as controller for Scripps Howard for 13 years.

In addition to serving on the executive board of the Nina Haven Charitable Foundation, Theresa has also served on the executive board of the United Way of Martin County. She is a former member of Soroptimist International of Stuart and is a Martin County LEADERship graduate.

Theresa, a Florida native, moved to Martin County in 1989 from the Florida Panhandle. She currently resides in Palm City with her husband, Dr. Andrew Gallant. They have two adult daughters, Meghan and Emily, and three grandchildren.

Gordon Gaster is a first vice president and senior financial advisor for Merrill Lynch. He has been a financial advisor to the Nina Haven Charitable Foundation since 1976.

After graduation from Florida State University, Gordon served in the U.S. Navy Office of Naval Intelligence and was stationed at the Pentagon. He began his financial career in 1960 in New York City and lived in Sarasota and Daytona Beach before moving to Palm Beach County in 1967.

Gordon has been the director of the Economic Council of the Palm Beaches for more than 10 years and a Rotary Club member for more than 20 years. He was the national alumni president of Florida State University in 1968, and a trustee of the Florida State University Foundation for 25 years. In 1994, Gordon received the Palm Beach Atlantic University Free Enterprise Companion Medal.

Gordon is a Florida native. He and his wife, Bonnie, reside in Jupiter, Florida.
