Charles L. Anderson, Sr.
Charles is an occupational specialist and physical education teacher with the Martin County School District, where he has served 36 continuous years. Charles received a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Florida Agriculture and Mechanical University in 1972 and a master’s degree in Administration and Supervision from Nova Southeastern University in 1980. Charles is also a Nina Haven scholarship recipient.
In addition to serving on the board of the Nina Haven Charitable Foundation, Charles is the president of Life Builders, a member of the International Board-Life Builders Men’s Fellowship and a former Boys and Girls Club mentor.
He has twice been named Coach of the Year and received the NAACP Cephas Gipson Award in 2000.
Charles and his wife of 28 years, Xenobia Poitier-Anderson, have three adult children, Kherri, Jessica and Charles II.
