Nina Haven Circle of Scholars Reception Returns

Summary: On May 22, this year’s Circle of Scholars added several new features. In addition to honoring 2020, 2021, and 2022 Nina Haven Scholarship recipients, the 12 Copper Key Promise Scholarship Kids were recognized. These youngsters are identified as potential Nina Haven recipients while they are still in middle school and nurtured by a consortium consisting of Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County, Community Foundation of Martin-St. Lucie, House of Hope and Nina Haven Scholarship Foundation. Martin County nonprofits join to create college scholarship program for low-income students, families

New Scholarship Program Identifies MC Students with Potential

Summary: Tracey Etelson, Executive Director of the non-profit Nina Haven Scholarships, Inc., recently announced that the 501(c)(3) has partnered with Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County, House of Hope and the Community Foundation Martin-St.Lucie to create the “Copper Key Promise Program.” The four nonprofits collaborate to identify qualified students – who have been under-represented in the past – in the sixth and seventh grades and wrap them and their families in a blanket of services offered by the organizations. more…
